In Spain sport has its own rules and its own system of justice, which sit alongside ordinary law and do not always fit together neatly. Knowing its governing bodies and its deadlines, often very short, is what allows an athlete or a club to defend itself in time.

My clients are athletes, clubs, agents and sports bodies, in their ordinary activity (contracts, representation) and when a disciplinary or financial dispute breaks out.

I trained specifically for this area, with a Master's in Sports Law from the ICAB, the Barcelona Bar Association, and I know the sector closely.

Who I work for

Athletes

Contracts with clubs and sponsors, image rights, disciplinary proceedings and doping cases, where I defend a career before the federation, the Administrative Court for Sport (TAD) or the CAS in Lausanne or, in doping cases, before the anti-doping bodies and through their own route of appeal (articles 35 and 49 of Organic Act 11/2021), with deadlines counted in days.

Clubs and sports entities

Day-to-day activity (statutes, governing bodies, signing athletes and coaches, sponsorship) and the disciplinary, electoral or financial dispute when it arises.

Agents and representatives

Representation and intermediation contracts, commissions and their recovery, and the relationship with athlete and club when interests no longer align.

Federations and sports bodies

Disciplinary and electoral rules, proceedings before the TAD and institutional advice.

Method under short deadlines

Deadlines in sports justice tend to be especially short, so I define the strategy before acting, keep every time limit under control from the first day and verify the sources as I go.
